WINDSOR – NDP MPP Lisa Gretzky (Windsor West) released the following statement on the return of the legislature:
“Windsor families are working harder than ever, but the cost of housing, groceries and everything else is going up. Health care is in crisis and our loved ones are waiting in pain for hours to receive care. Wages are falling behind inflation, and people receiving ODSP or OW are falling behind even faster.
As we return to the legislature, I’m going to fight to make sure Windsor families can get ahead. That means fighting to reduce cuts to classrooms and making sure we get real action on the hospital crisis, including scrapping Doug Ford’s low wage policy Bill 124. We also need to see ODSP and OW increased and wages lifted for Ontario workers. The throne speech and the coming budget are opportunities to provide Windsor families the hope and relief they need. New Democrats will always fight for families in Windsor and across the province.”
Premier Ford must provide Windsor families relief this legislative session: Gretzky
